Radshield Demron™ Fabric Provides Radiation Protection

Demron™ Fabric is a safety textile product by Radshield (Radiation Shield Technologies) that protects against radiation.  Products made from Demron have been deployed to the workers in Japan's nuclear facilities.

i heard somewhere that natural wool is supposed to shield agains electro-magnetic radiation...but whether it can protect against nuclear radiation is another matter entirely. wonder if it's worth looking into...

What a great example of private enterprise working with academia and government to research, test, and produce products that improve the human condition. The possibilities of what can be done by engineering characteristics into textiles that render them useful beyond the traditional realm is staggering.
